Podiatry covers all aspects of the feet
General Treatment
Routine general treatment includes toenail cutting, hard skin / callus reduction, corn removal, fungal nails and athletes' foot. Treatments may also include appropriate advice in managing your foot care and prevention
Fungal Nails
Fungal nail treatment is unfortunately a long process (6-18 months). A treatment that we can offer is the Lacuna Method. This involves drilling small holes into the infected nail so that the treatment can reach the fungal site quicker. One cycle can take 6 months with 4 appointments included, as well as the advice and treatment for continuing use at home.
Biomechanical Assessment
A biomechanical assessment may be required to try and discover why a foot pathology is occurring. Here we look at how the foot and its mechanics (joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments) are working both non-weight-bearing and when weight-bearing
New for 2022
We also now have a T-Plate pressure plate that we use to record the pressures placed on your feet, when standing and when walking.

We use a range of insoles so the most appropriate to your lifestyle, activity and footwear will be assessed.
